Medication
Not everyone needs medication, and we understand that. We have many patient’s that are not on medications. For those that do, the targeted and specialized use of medications, when combined with other treatments can be one of the most effective ways of helping you get better.
Our board certified psychiatrists have extensive training and experience with utilizing the least amount of targeted medications to help with your symptoms. When it comes to medications, at Meah we believe less is better.
Therapy
Psychotherapy has long been recognized as a valuable tool for addressing mental health issues, promoting emotional well-being, and fostering personal growth. Rooted in the last three centuries, psychotherapy has evolved to incorporate diverse approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, EMDR and psychodynamic therapy. Its importance lies in providing individuals with a structured, supportive environment to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, leading to improved mental health outcomes and enhanced quality of life.
Integrative & Nutritional Psychiatry
Integrative psychiatry is an emerging branch of psychiatry that combines complementary and alternative strategies with conventional medicine, focusing on finding the root causes of mental health symptoms through the assessment and optimization of the everyday lifestyle choices that influence our brain health. We utilize treatments such as dietary changes, nutritional and herbal supplements and other “natural” or holistic approaches to treat mental health symptoms.
Nutritional Psychiatry is one branch of Integrative Psychiatry, but it’s an important one! There is an ever-growing body of research showing the intimate connection between what we eat and how we feel. Nutritional psychiatry is focused on the treatment of mental health symptoms through the optimization of diet and utilization of nature’s best medicine: Food!
Lifestyle Optimization
Lifestyle optimization is the modification of our every day choices, habits and decisions in order to set ourselves up for success with regard to brain health. This may include changing things like exercise habits, nutritional choices, sleep patterns, environmental exposures, and stress management techniques, just to name a few. Although simply altering our day to day habits may seem insignificant at times, these small changes add up to big gains in overall wellness and can significantly improve mental health symptoms.
TMS
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) has been proven to be an effective treatment for a variety of issues including depression, OCD, ADHD, and Anxiety. It is one of the most exciting developments in psychiatry. By using magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain, TMS helps to improve mood and reduce symptoms with minimal side effects. Research has shown that TMS not only offers significant relief for many patients but also enhances overall mental health and quality of life.
Accelerated TMS
For those seeking faster resolution to their symptoms, we do offer accelerated TMS. This is a specific protocol that has multiple TMS sessions a day, for 5 straight days. The protocol called, SAINTS, has been proven to be incredibly effective and safe. This accelerated protocol has been proven to mostly resolve depression symptoms at the end of the 5 day treatment, in as low of 70% and as high as 90% of people who completed the 5 day course.
This does require 5 full days of treatment, with each day being 9 hours long. At Meah, we make this as enjoyable process as possible. We offer you:
- A private TMS treatment room.
- When you are in-between treatments, you will have a private room to relax in. This private room will have access to Wifi if you want to work, and a comfortable Lazy-boy chair with a large TV. We provide access to Netflix to watch shows or movies!
- Free meals 3 times a day from local restaurants delivered to your private room. Snacks and beverages will be available to you throughout the full day.

Ketamine Treatment and Ketmaine with psychotherapy
Ketamine treatment has demonstrated significant benefits for individuals suffering from treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, and other mood disorders. Studies have shown that ketamine can rapidly alleviate depressive symptoms and suicidal thoughts, often within hours, providing a crucial lifeline for patients in critical need. Additionally, the effects of ketamine infusions can last for several weeks, offering sustained relief and improving overall mental health and well-being.
At Meah we have developed and refined our own protocol for utilizing ketamine as a treatment option. Our protocol offers the same proven effects of ketamine, but with less risks than other ketamine treatments.
We developed a protocol that minimizes risks, such as infection or infiltration, and reduces the pain and discomfort of a ketamine infusion. Our process makes receiving this treatment very easy and more comfortable for you, while still getting great results.
At Meah, we also recognize the importance of combining ketamine treatment with psychotherapy. This is a crucial component, as ketamine’s unique properties can help patients access and process deeply rooted emotions and memories that might be difficult to reach in a normal state of consciousness. Ketamine is also believed to promote neuroplasticity, which is the brain’s ability to form new connections and pathways; this serves as further evidence that ketamine treatment provides a critical therapeutic window in which meaningful progress can be made.
