You are not alone.
Over 30% of U.S. adults (31.1%) will experience an anxiety disorder at some point in their lives.
What is ADHD?
Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by persistent patterns of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity that interfere with functioning or development. Individuals with ADHD may have difficulty sustaining attention, following through on tasks, or organizing activities, often appearing forgetful or easily distracted. Hyperactivity may manifest as excessive fidgeting, talking, or an inability to stay seated, while impulsivity can lead to hasty actions without considering consequences. These symptoms can significantly impact academic, occupational, and social settings.
Though ADHD is most often diagnosed in childhood, it is estimated that between 30 and 70% of children continue to experience symptoms of ADHD in adulthood. Despite its prevalence, only 10-25 percent of adults with ADHD receive an accurate diagnosis and adequate treatment. Although ADHD can be common, you don’t have to continue suffering. At Meah Modern Psychiatry, you will work with a dedicated, knowledgable Psychiatrist or Psychiatric PA who specializes in treating ADHD and will work with you to understand your story and find the root cause of your symptoms.
